Natalia Solomonoff (1968) is a composer born in Rosario, Argentina.
First composition studies with Jorge Horst, Mariano Etkin and Diana Rud. Courses with Gerardo Gandini, Francisco Kröpfl, Carmelo Saítta and others on a scholarship from Fundación Antorchas (Argentina). From 1997-98 she has composition studies with Nicolaus A. Huber at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen (Germany), on a grant of the “German Academic Exchange Service” (DAAD). From Nov. 2008- Feb. 2009 she attended courses with Mathias Spahlinger at the Institut für Neue Musik Freiburg, on a grant of the DAAD.

She has received numerous composition prizes and awards including the Premio de Composición Juan Carlos Paz- Fondo Nacional de las Artes-, the Subsidio a la creación de la Fundación Antorchas, the 2º Premio 70º aniversario de Sadaic- Concurso Latinoamericano de Composición de Obras Sinfónicas “Guillermo Graetzer” 1936 – 2006”, Premio de Composición de la Asociación EDITAR, Premio de Composición de la Sinfonietta Omega (Dir. Mtro. Gerardo Gandini), Subsidio a la creación artística de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral-Proyectos CREAR, other scholarships and awards from the Centro Mexicano para la música y las artes sonoras (CMMAS), Subsecretaría de Cultura de la Provincia de Santa Fe, Ministerio de Educación y Cultura de la Nación, Camping Musical Bariloche. Her music was performed in numerous concerts and festivals in Europe and America.

Natalia Solomonoff has received invitations and commissions from international Festivals and ensembles and orchestras such as the Festival Weaving Music for Radio by Latin American Women Composers (Curitiba, 2018), XXI Festival de Música Contemporánea del Teatro General San Martín (Buenos Aires, 2017), Ciclo de Conciertos Monográficos Biblioteca Contemporánea (Biblioteca Nacional, Buenos Aires, 2017), the Orquesta Experimental de Instrumentos Nativos (Bolivia, 2016), the IIIº Simposio Internacional de Música Nova (Brasil, 2016), the Forum Nueva Música (Córdoba, 2016), the Internationales Festival für Neue Musik Provinzlärm (Germany, 2015 and 2012), the VI Encuentro Internacional de Compositores (Chile, 2014), Chiffren: Kieler Tage für neue Musik (Germany, 2013), Festival Ciclo de Música Contemporánea del Teatro General San Martín (Argentina, 2017), Ciclo Biblioteca Contemporánea at the Biblioteca Nacional Mariano Moreno (Argentina, 2017), the Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial de Santa Fe, Ensemble Aventure (Freiburg), Ensemble Reflexion K (Eckerfnörde), Ensemble La Machine (Montreal), Ensemble L’echelle (Montreal), Duo MEI-música para flautas (Buenos Aires), among others. In 2012 she was a guest Composer in Residence at the Schlesswig-Holsteinisches Künstlerhaus (Eckernförde) and in 2016 at the Orquesta Experimental de Instrumentos Nativos -OEIN- (Bolivia).
As a scholar, she has published in specialized magazines and books from several publishers such as Casa de las Américas (La Habana), Musiktexte (Köln), Revista Pilacremus (UNAM, Mexico), Gourmet Musical (Buenos Aires), Institut Iberoamericano de Berlín/ Iberoamericana-Vervuert (Frankfurt am Main- Madrid), Biblioteca Nacional (Buenos Aires), Suono Mobile (Córdoba). Her music was recorded by the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Asociación Editar, ACC Ediciones. 
Since 2014 Natalia Solomonoff works at the Instituto Superior de Música de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral in Santa Fe where she teaches composition and at the Instituto Superior del Profesorado de Música in Rosario where she teaches musical analysis and in which she is in charge of a workshop about musical experimentation.
